This is a thing?
I thought it was just on the ''Look how evil Shawn was'' list, didn't realize it had a legacy.

don't tell me it's still real to you

There was nothing evil about it, it was the right call. got a ton of heat and helped build Shawn for his feud with Taker.

The whole sister thing was unnecessary, uncomfortable and exploitative in the first place. Just because of that, Shawn has to tone down his heel act? C'mon breh

“As I pretended to help the wounded Davey back to the dressing room, we passed … Davey’s sister Tracey, who was terribly upset and crying. I thought, In wrestling, never make a promise you can’t deliver. I saw the light die in Davey’s eyes that day, darkness seeping out of the heart giving out

I mean, come on

:scusthov: at that purple prose too.

Bulldog was gone, and Vince didn't want Owen to main event, but he wanted him involved with DX

Another good call

Like I was saying, man, waltzing out Tracey was exploitative in the first place. I mean who drags out their ill sister like that? I never understood the reasoning behind it. Bulldog was going to have more than enough sympathy anyway.

You misunderstand, the the 'Evil list' part was sarcasm, the way people present Shawn in the 90's as the worst guy in the business was never my viewpoint. It's why I never considered this particular event a big deal.

The dirt sheets make it a big deal to fit their narrative

One of the best heel performances of all time, though

Reading through some of this, Cornette's answer to every problem is punching someone in the face :rudy:

Damn shame the light went from Davey after a loss in a fake sport though. :mjpls:

Bret and Jim, two of the biggest drama queens in wrestling

It's no wonder they both have Meltzer on speed dial :steviej:

:whoo: at the HD Nicholson gif

EDIT: I kinda feel bad for the Hart family it was very real to them
Bret and Davey seemed to be idealistic about the biz whereas HBK was all about that paper and fame.
