Seen 10 of them. List is dumb if it doesn't convert dollars to today's values though. Imagine there would be more on the list then.

The following procedures were followed whilst compiling this list:

  • Since reports for US earnings can vary slightly (<1% usually) depending on the source, for consistency all US earnings are taken from Box Office Mojo.
  • All foreign currencies were converted to U.S. Dollars at the exchange rate effective at the time.
  • Total grosses for each year (foreign and US combined) were inflation-adjusted according to rates calculated by the U.S. Department of Labor - Bureau of Labor Statistics. The inflation rate was calculated as at 17/11/2010. Releases since then have been "deflated" to this level.
  • Grosses last updated September 23rd, 2016.

Only films with billion-dollar grosses are listed above.

Crazy that a horror film like The Exorcist is a top 10 of all time grossing film when taking inflation into account. More than Empire Strikes Back and Jurassic Park. I would have never thought so. That film truly was a worldwide sensation.

Only haven't seen Finding Dory, Toy Story 3 & Beauty and the Beast and I have no interest in seeing them.:manny:

And of course they still claim downloading is killing the box office and not the fact that some of their movies are shyt and that's why they don't make money.:stopitslime:

Toy Story 3 is a blassic. :what:

Up until like 2011 only 5 or so movies ever did a billy. Titanic, Return of the King, one of the Pirates of the Carribean movies, Dark Knight, and Avatar. Then the franchise movie bubble started and all of a sudden damn near every big movie is doing a billion.
