Dem UK streets been asking for Frampton v Quigg for a minute and it's finally come to fruition

Can't remember the last time 2 boxers this minute came together for a fight this big
Manchester Arena is already sold out and SHOWTIME International is picking up the fight for us :blessed:

Also on the same day on Showtime the King of California Leo Santa Cruz returns
LSC is facing Kiko Martinez who's already been beaten by both Frampton and Quigg
It's a good style matchup but an unnecessary fight and we also get a rematch of the entertaining Ceja/Ruiz fight

Finally on hbo the illest nikka in Nebraska Terence Crawford takes his show to the big apple vs Hank Lundy
Lundy is best known for losing and that's what he'll do in this stylistic mismatch
And we're given another look at future campeon Felix Verdejo :ohlawd:

Lundy Warns Terence Crawford: Nobody Has 'Clearly' Beat Me
Updated at 09:35 AM EST, Fri Feb 5, 2016 Read More By :

By Victor Salazar

New York. NY - Junior welterweight contender Hank Lundy (26-5-1, 13KOs) is something out of the norm in boxing circles. He has five losses and one draw and in turn will headline an HBO televised fight against WBO junior welterweight champion Terence Crawford (27-0, 19KOs) at The Theatre at Madison Square Garden.

Officially, Lundy has lost his last two fights on the HBO platform. But unofficially, there are some observers who felt he could have gotten the nod in his two fights with Thomas Dulorme and Mauricio Herrera. And that’s why he feels that he continues to receive these opportunities to fight on the big stage.

Lundy even traveled over to Ukraine three years ago to fight the latest hot shot at 140-pounds, WBC junior welterweight champion Viktor Postol. Lundy lost a competitive twelve round decision.

Lundy says there is no fear of having the odds stacked against him with Crawford, who Top Rank and HBO are grooming as the next pound-for-pound superstar.

“One thing about me man, I’m not afraid to fight people,” Lundy told BoxingScene.com. “As far as Herrera, I beat him. Most guys in my nature wouldn’t go to a guy’s backyard. I beat Herrera in his backyard. I went to Russia in [Viktor Postol's] backyard but of course I wasn’t going to get a decision in Russia. I don’t care where you are where you from, I’ll come to Herrera hometown again. I would have stopped him.”

In an era where a lot of fighters love to protect their zero, Lundy feels his willingness to fight and the fact he hasn’t been clearly beaten is why people watch him.

“One thing about this. I’m not spoon fed,” explained Lundy. “I been in there with the best. The reason I am getting these fights is pretty clear - nobody out there beat my ass and I can stick with that. Nobody has and nobody will.“

hank is a funny guy but he was sent to bushes clearly by john molina..he was pretty thoroughly beaten in that fight lol..speaking of that i need to talk to my boy later and see what he has to say about hank's preparation for this fight

Not to be that guy, but Northern Ireland is part of the UK, it's the republic that isnt. So it's more like N.Ireland Vs England.

Either way, looking forward to this fight, didn't realise it was this close.

Picked Frampton even though i'm not up to either one of them and haven't watched them enough to make an educated pick. Wish they'd give RigGOAT that rub in the summer/fall but they'll duck em :mjcry:

Lundy: Gamboa Outboxed Crawford For Seven Rounds!
Updated at 04:50 AM EST, Thu Feb 25, 2016 Read More By :

By Keith Idec

Hank Lundy respects Terence Crawford’s skills.

The junior welterweight contender isn’t overly impressed with Crawford’s resume, though. Lundy feels the undefeated Crawford has received more credit than he deserves for victories over Dierry Jean, Thomas Dulorme, Ray Beltran, Ricky Burns, Andrey Klimov, Alejandro Sanabria and Breidis Prescott. Crawford stopped Jean, Dulorme and Sanabria, and won wide decisions against Beltran, Burns, Klimov and Prescott.

The only victory that somewhat impressed Lundy since Crawford became an HBO fighter three years ago was his ninth-round stoppage of Yuriorkis Gamboa. But Philadelphia’s Lundy (26-5-1, 13 KOs), who’ll challenge Crawford (27-0, 19 KOs) for the WBO 140-pound championship Saturday night in The Theater at Madison Square Garden (HBO), even found fault with Crawford’s win against the smaller Gamboa (25-1, 17 KOs) in June 2014.

“You think about it,” Lundy said during a conference call. “Who has Terence fought, except Gamboa, that had a little bit of a name? It was only Gamboa, man. And Gamboa was what, 5-2? Been off for a year.

“I understand, but at the end of the day, Gamboa was able to out-box him, too, for the first seven rounds. Until Crawford switched up and went southpaw, and Gamboa came in with his head down and got hit. But most people forget that.”

When reminded that Crawford dropped Dulorme three times and stopped him in the fight after Dulorme defeated Lundy by split decision, Lundy responded by saying Dulorme didn’t deserve that victory over him.

“The world knows Thomas Dulorme didn’t beat me,” Lundy said. “The world knows.”

Scott Quigg & Carl Frampton in dressing room row ahead of title fight

A row over who gets the best dressing room is threatening to derail Saturday's super-bantamweight unification match between Scott Quigg and Carl Frampton.

With the fight taking place at the Manchester Arena, Bury's Quigg is adamant he is the home fighter and should therefore get the 'star' dressing room.

However, Belfast's Frampton believes he should get the roomier quarters because he is the bigger draw.

"I'm sure it will drag on, be childish and pathetic and everyone will lose their rag. But we will find a resolution," said Quigg's promoter Eddie Hearn.

"But Scott is the home fighter in Manchester and he gets the home dressing room."

Quigg will be putting his WBA belt on the line against IBF title-holder Frampton in a rare all-British world title unification match.

And at an ill-tempered final news conference, which ended with the fighters pushing and shoving after the face-off, it became clear how just how fractious the relationships are between the two camps.

"Scott wants the dressing room that the star of the show usually gets," said the 29-year-old Frampton, who is undefeated in 21 professional fights.

"It's a matter of principle. I'm the A side of the fight and I'm entitled to that dressing room. The best solution is that we lock that dressing room and each use different ones."

As the row rumbled on, Hearn was heard to mutter: "I've lost the will to live."

The fighters' respective trainers also traded verbal blows. When Quigg's trainer Joe Gallagher questioned Shane McGuigan's credentials, Frampton's trainer replied: "Hopefully after the fight, he'll finally respect me."

In addition, Quigg's camp suggested Frampton had struggled to make the 122lb super-bantamweight limit, while Frampton's camp thought Quigg might have weight issues of his own.

The governing bodies have agreed to a Saturday morning re-weigh, at which neither boxer should be more than 10lb above his weight at Friday's official weigh-in.

"My weight is fine," said Frampton, who was knocked down twice in his last fight before beating unheralded Mexican Alejandro Gonzalez on points.

"I've spent 17 weeks in training camp, the longest I've ever had. I've missed my son taking his first steps, his birthday and my daughter's birthday. There's absolutely no way I'm going to let this guy rip this away from me.

"I just believe I'm a better fighter in every single department. I have the punching power to knock him out in any round but I've also got the boxing brain to beat him comfortably on points."

Quigg, who knocked out Spain's Kiko Martinez in his last fight, said: "I believe I'll be the bigger man in the ring but it's my boxing ability that will win this fight.

"This fight is everything I've worked towards since the age of 15. I've put in too much for anyone to stop me. I'll win by knockout."
