Cyberpunk, Watch Dogs etc were all just games at the end of the day. Kinect demos showed off this experience light years ahead of what Sony/Nintendo and any other tech company could do/ever thought about and if it worked like they showed, MS would be so far in first place in multiple arenas rn but especially the console market

Instead Kinect became the main reason people bought a PS4 and made sure Sony's on top for generations to come

For that reason alone Kinect is the biggest lie in gaming history easily, not even close. No other project's had the same ramifications to a company
