The same support the Senior PGA tour gets. It's not that complicated. The NBA is clearly doing shyt behind the scenes, the fact sports media is silent on the Big 3's ratings is telling
because while the ratings aren't bad, they're not something so grand that the NBA must do something to partner up with them.
Now, for the glass half-empty on those ratings,
It was the lowest rated sports watch on a network that day. Everything below it was on cable. The event that was on before the Big 3 was the Scottish Open and it did twice the numbers. In head to head comp, more people were watching Steph Curry golf on NBC.
Now, let's do the last 2 weeks.
Big 3 7/23 - 503K. Only network event that did lower was France /Jamaica Women's World Cup at 6am., but it didn't do all that much worse than other events.
Big 3 7/30- 559K Good news: It outdrew Fulham /Chelsea on NBC. Bad news: it did worse than bullriding which preceded it.
so fairly consistent more or less. It appeals to a niche audience. I guess you think if the NBA partnered up with them and spammed the shyt outta you with Big 3 ads the way they do with the WNBA that it would make waves, but the people who like the Big 3 are the ones who watch it. The product isn't gonna bring casuals the way you think it would. If watching NBA Cares ads didn't make you wanna paint a school, Big 3 ads everywhere ain't gonna compel you to stay home on a summer day and see what dumb shyt Royce White wrote on his head.
