Its kind of a stretch. The bible is unrelated to most black people.
Those Ethiopians made a brief cameo, but any more than that is pushing it. And the Ethiopians are genetically unrelated to most subsahaaran africans.
Egypt was a background setting for baby Jesus, but it wasn't really a black country at the time. The romans, greeks, and Persians had replaced and robbed the native black people by then. I mean we had whole white men being crowned pharoah during Jesus' era
An argument could be made for Egypt during Moses' time, but that particular portion wasnt recorded in any of the Egyptian records . Its most likely a parable or folk tale. I say this because Egypt prided itself in writing down everything and had armies of historians, scribes, and civil servants whose whole job it was to record major events in Egypt like slave rebellions or famines.
I wont even humour duscussions of ham because of the white supremacist connotations.
But with all that being said, i dont see anything wrong with painting over the Bible characters for racial pride purposes. Other people do it, so why cant we? In korea, Jesus and the disciples are korean. Japan even has a grave for jesus because they claim that was his homeland. and of course, we all have seen blonde , blue eyed jesus in the west.
