The Bible is actually a pretty interesting book.

I was thinking about making a thread where posters would share the most fire verses that they can think about from any Holy book, regardless of religion or spiritual beliefs.

But then I remember it's the Coli's TLR :dead: still it might turn out good

I was actually going to do a thread with a similar theme.

It was to point out how the God of the Bible is conscious and aware of "other" gods and how he calls them out and proclaims his own glory, power, and dominion over them.

I think its fascinating because I haven't really came across other religious deities that calls out gods from other faiths or even demonstrate an awareness of their existence.

A LOT of stuff in Genesis gets 'lost in translation'. Get yourself a Study Bible or Concordance/Interlinear so some of the 'weirdness' makes sense and is put into proper context.

I have one of those and may reference it. I figured I’d go in raw and not have my thoughts on the book potentially swayed by anyone else’s interpretation.

I did the same thing, but only after being forced to go to Church for the first 12 years of my life. Reading it for myself made the text approachable from a logical standpoint. Even though the cats who wrote it were basically cavemen, they were NOT stupid.

for those who tend to venture into JBO with no fux given, just know there's an european erotic art illustrator named Peter Riverstone who made two porn comics based on the book of Judges; one is titled Thamara and Judah, and the other one is Judith and Holophernes.

If you made a movie of the bible from Judges to Kings and switch up the character names and most known plot points a bit and maintain all the vileness and wickedness in it, people wouldn't know it's a religious book. David & Saul were performing genocide like it was nothing and were 'God's chosen'. Kings like Jehu were beyond maniacal killers. That's why a lot of pastors/priests/evangelists don't like referencing the historical books in the bible while preaching. Nothing but murder and political scheming sprinkled with some religious undertones.

Bruh...

just reading the Adam & Eve story, and dwelling on it...reflecting on how things are still similar today is a trip.

And the Enoch story, and how after Noah got to be so old God was like “these niccas tripping, imma put a cap on how long they can stay alive” lol
