From top to bottom I think the 2018 Warriors are the best. 1986 Celtics is a thought but their defense/offense balance is weird, don't know if you can be the best lineup ever if your guards aren't elite offensively and your center ain't elite defensively.
I like the guy who said 1995 Magic, that was a fascinating starting lineup if that team could have just gotten it together mentally.
Magic
Kareem
Ac Green
Scott
Worthy
Imo
That lineup just isn't that good defensively, and Byron Scott is the only shooter. They were amazing in their era,
A.C. Green was just a 2nd-year player who was still years away from his first and only All-Star appearance.
Byron Scott was good but not great, never touched an All-Star or All-NBA Team.
Kareem was 39yo and could be inconsistent game-to-game.
I know they're legendary because they were a great team and the names in the lineup are great, but nothing about their actual halfcourt offense or halfcourt defense screams GOAT to me.
73’ Knicks had 5 Hall of Famers starting (and 4 of them made the NBA At 50: Top 50 Players list)...
Yeah, but I'm not afraid. That lineup only had one guy over 6'6" and he was 6'8", 33yo, and pretty much washed.
How could i forget
Cousy
Havilichek “ he stole the motherfukkin ball” :UmadOH:
Russell
Sam Jones
KC Jones
Cousy was in his retirement year when Havlichek joined the team as a rookie, and K.C. wasn't that good. I don't even think that was the best starting lineup for that team, it just looks good on paper. And Bill Russell the only one of those dudes over 6'5".
