That's pretty much all they can do with them at this point. Their strength was their character work but that's fallen way off since moving to the main roster. To be fair, it's not really their fault. They have a gimmick that only works with good writing. They aren't really getting that on Smackdown so they look especially weak.

See? They done cooled off Rusev so much I well forgot about that segment last week. Smackdown could use a Battle Royale as a refresher as to who's on the roster and set up some non title feuds in the midcard. Feels like the last time the US championship had a feud involving more than the champ and challenger was when Jinder won it before getting sent to Raw.

I honestly wish they could work out a way to get Shinsuke vs Almas. I know folks will be like "They don't speak English" but that's what Zelina is for. She can carry the promo portion, let Shin troll a little bit and let them get in the ring and do their thing.

But since that isn't happening, I am willing to see where this Rusev thing goes.
