I hate mainstream western cultures mentality that 'africa' can all be lumped in together like one thing, its like the second biggest continent on the planet with thousands of genetically different types of people, diverse biomes and indigenous species.... why is europe a continent? dead ass someone answer me that question why is europe not considered part of asia :comeon:

Holy shyt, I remember when I was 7 years old and I visited some family members in right outside of Connakry (Guinea's capital) and there was with ritual where a bunch of scary looking people doing all sorts of rain dances outside the complex I was staying in. These nikkas sacrificed two black snakes. I remember specifically one of the dudes dressed like this.

:merchant: At the time I didn't know what it was, I thought that was a real fukking creature. That shyt was doing those dances that the dancers performed in the beginning of Coming to America. I was almost traumatized my who time over there. I wanted to get outta there fast. I started crying like a bytch.:to: Probably the scariest shyt I ever encountered in my life.

Mwana Ya Mayi = Congolais

Mami wata came from english (mummy water). Nigerians are the ones who introduced that term Congo, a long time ago.

Elima means geniuses or creatures of water.

yeah, Guineans know about that shyt. But I'm not Guinean. I'm Liberian and Seychelle. I have lots of family there and other W African countries because the civil war broke out around 89-90 which forced alot of them to flee and relocate. Yup she some mermaid and I first heard of her from Liberians.

Plan on going during the summer (winter in the States). My peoples here went and they can't stop raving about the time they had there. Going to fit Angola into the travel plans real soon. One of the homies just recently got a gig working for the Health Ministry there
