are you Sudanese?
Your country is dope breh. So much history. It's a shame how they are overlooked because of Egypt. But I doubt you guys are hard pressed on that you guys have your unique culture and don't care what outsiders think. I heard Qatar or SA is funding for the excavation of one of the ancient ruins still buried underneath the desert. That shyt can be a game changer.
Did you hear about the 70,000 year old ancient settlement they recently found?
Yeah Sudani here. I don't believe it is overlooked it is all about marketing, also the current regime does not make things easy politically from a global perspective, but we still have many archaeologist both local and international that study and find old and new monuments. So it is not really a game changer, because Egypt was like us in the earlier part of the last century, if you look at the old pictures, you really understand my meaning, so it is about restoring and upkeep of the monuments, hence they created a established tourist industry, and the problem is access to the monuments further north, they are now constructing roads, so it will be easier to travel within the region. What is funny a good percent in what is
so considered ancient Egyptian monuments? such as Amara West temple or ramesses II and settlement which is well preserve and i posted here, Semna, Kumma temple, Soleb, and Queen tiye tomb is in North Sudan. Yeah , there are more things to be discovered underneath the sands, i believe it is Qatar along with rich Sudanese people expariate community that live in Qatar and other gulf countries that gave additional funding to excavations. Sudanese has a large community in Gulf countries both rich and poor.

As far as the cultures in Sudan, it is unique, but there are many different cultures within Sudan, which is different from our neighbor further north.
