My point was Titanic (avengers) made more than godfather (tdk) and the latter is easily the better film.

Numbers mean nothing more than popularity.

titanic is pretty popular movie. everyone I know has seen it. Not everyone i know has seen the godfather.

Tdk is in a different league. It's up there with the greats. The avengers is one if the best superior films of all time. There's a difference.

In terms of sales yes, but as a film hell no. You are obviously confused as to what mskes a film great, it isnt how much it makes at the box office.

Anyone with a brain knew the avengers would dell this much. The hype was unbelievable. I'm hlad its doing these numbers, but they have nothing to do with the film as an art.

You remind me of lol Wayne fans who think he us the best rapper sliver because he sold millions, meanwhile there are a lit of better rappers out there who sold close to what he did or less.

I never said it was poorly made, wtf. I enjoyed the movie, but it isnt a great film in terms of acting and story. It's the best popcorn film I have ever seen though. You don't compare a movie like this to tdk which has superior actors, writing, story telling, characters and a guy name Nolan.

Even if tdk sold more I would never compare them by sales or say the avengers sucked because it dold less. its a stupid argument when talking about the actual product, the film.

If you are seriously going to ask what made the dark knight art I give up fam. You obviously get lost in the CG and explosions. either that or you have an agenda.

there are both super hero movies why not compare them.

I am just sticking to the facts and I think the facts show that more people watched the Avengers then The Dark Knight. Not only in america but the whole world. Perhaps more people liked the avengers and perhaps that makes it a better movie. I mean if we just went to you for movie quality you would be right but we are in this together man.

I went to see Avengers (my #3 time) on Sunday with a friend who for some reason hadn't seen it yet and the theater was still decently full...my mind was blown.
