Ghostbusters was mad serious without Bill Murray bruhs.Comedies that try to make everything funny never age well.
I prefer to just have one guy be funny and the rest of the movie to take it's self relatively seriously
For example Beverly Hills Cop. Its a regular cop movie, everybody is serious except Eddie Murphy is not taking it serious. Makes for a classic comedy.

Just hire a comedian, let him adlib jokes into an otherwise serious plot and you got a funny movie to me.
You don't need to write jokes for the entire cast, and you definitely don't need to pause the pacing of movie to perform an out of context comedy skit, like the one posted above where they are in group therapy for no reason.
