honestly, the explanation is why i like cabin in the woods. the shyt that people do in horror movies makes no sense unless there was someone pulling the strings

They are a variation of the black buck movie trope. Strong, athletic, brave, etc. But not smart and almost always end up dying in the worst or most ridiculous ways.

From what I understand about this particular trope is that it's always about some sort of black sacrifice for white life, and it exists is a large majority of movies that have a majority white cast with one or two blacks in it.
