Next season will make me angry and depressed. I've read many Katrina horror stories. I read one on Cracked.com a few years ago about a 911 operator who was on the phone with a woman who was trapped in a facility that was filling up with water. Eventually the call went out, and to this day, they don't know if the woman ever got out or drowned. I'd hate to have a 911 operator's job. You probably hear a lot of horrifying things.
My cousin was an emergency responder out there. He won't even talk about Katrina. He quit afterwords and sells used cars in Georgia now.
