attempted to buy a steam card from gamestop online with the last $20 I had left on a gift card…of course their “order update system is experiencing an outage” so they took the money I had left on the card but didn’t send the steam code so now I gotta fukking wait and hope it clears up before I call them…I can’t wait til this store does a bed bath and beyond

I'm about tired of these stores and they bullshyt. Earlier this month I ended up cancelling my SF 6 pre-order from BB on release day because they didn't even have the game in stock after waiting the whole morning. Went to Target eventually and got it.

A few days ago I saw that Sonic Frontiers was on sale for $40 at Target. I ordered it 10 mins before I left to get my haircut. Was in the barber shop for like 30 mins total. It only takes like 10 mins to get to the store from the barber you would think the game would be ready for pick up by then. I went to the counter to return an item I had previously bought and pick up the game. They tell me an hour after ordering game it still isn't ready for pick up (and it's the last one in stock). They told me I had to wait another hour after I showed them what I ordered and offered to pay for it outright.

I just said fukk it and told them I wouldn't be coming back up to the store cancel the order. Ended up getting from BB at the same price.

Death Stranding is like a nice slow burn, like blue label whisky. Not everyone will appreciate it

I bought it couple years ago.
I always found it intriguing but I just didn’t have the patience at the time to stick with it. Didn’t expect building and riding on roads to be so satisfying lol

There’s a lot of Metal Gear in the DNA of it, you aren’t doing a lot of stealth and killing, but it kind of has that slow methodical depth to it that you don’t really get a lot of in open world games. Once you get into the groove of building and exploring its a very nice experience. Then you get your drawn out melodramatic big brain kojima cutscenes once in a while

Got to do a few things today when I picked up wild hearts and tales. Finally could get sf6 special edition and some first party games. I just noticed that my mlb the show captain edition is for the Xbox one edition. I'll switch that when I get atomic heart next week. I wanted to preorder metroid prime too but sku was closed. I'll buy from their website.

I'm done with gamestop this year I think.

Starfield Constellation Edition had to get purchased from the Gamestop website specifically so that is done.
F1 Manager 2023 & Cities Skylines II are Steam purchases this year.
Madden NFL 24 Deluxe & NBA2K24 Collector's Edition will be on Xbox digitally.

I'm moving away from buying sports games physically. Everything else on physical or in the case of cpu intensive games like Cities, on PC.

I'll be getting the Meta Quest 3 from Best Buy so I'm anticipating September 27th for preorders to go live after their conference. If sooner, then that's great too.

Outside of that, I'm planning to start preordering 2024 games.
