24 years later and Chrono Trigger STILL got the JRPG crown.
Wasn't even intending on starting another playthrough yesterday, just wanted to test out RetroArch on my Shield TV before I chose another game at random. 3 and a half hours later, I'm about to go to 1000 AD in Medina Village
What this game has in spades over most other JRPGs is great pacing. You hit the ground running but it never feels rushed.
Perfect balance...it's not hard at all but you'll get caught slipping if you think it's easy mode.
Don't even need to bring up the soundtrack and the characters.....a true classic
