I think once the loan bubble crashes coupled w/ the even more police state society we're living in, we'll see a bubbling movement in the next 10-15 yrs.

Not a single democracy has ever lasted in the entire history of the world. People before us lived through historically bullshyt times, ours is looking like it will be the meltdown of amercia as it was onces was. shyt has been happening for years we had a good run, had most of the world looking at us like "AMERICA :ohhh:" it is what it is. At least we are not in India or some shyt, its fukked everywhere for the most part. Only so long bullshyt valueless dollars can last and the idea of paying for this "democracy" :rudy: :manny:
Tax his land, tax his wage,
Tax his bed in which he lays.
Tax his tractor, tax his mule,
Teach him taxes is the rule.

Tax his cow, tax his goat,
Tax his pants, tax his coat.
Tax his ties, tax his shirts,
Tax his work, tax his dirt.

Tax his chew, tax his smoke,
Teach him taxes are no joke.
Tax his car, tax his grass,
Tax the roads he must pass.

Tax his food, tax his drink,
Tax him if he tries to think.
Tax his sodas, tax his beers,
If he cries, tax his tears.

Tax his bills, tax his gas,
Tax his notes, tax his cash.
Tax him good and let him know
That after taxes, he has no dough.

If he hollers, tax him more,
Tax him until he's good and sore.
Tax his coffin, tax his grave,
Tax the sod in which he lays.

Put these words upon his tomb,
"Taxes drove me to my doom!"
And when he's gone, we won't relax,
We'll still be after the inheritance tax.

As someone, is old enough to see you young'uns come up. You guys have so many tool to express your discontent, I saw some of that potential in Occupy Wall Street and it had more impact than maybe you guys realized. But the student loan crisis is a symptom of a bigger issue, the continuing rise in the cost of an education and it's diminishing value. The cost of school is becoming opulent. It cost as much to get a bachelor degree, as it did, when my friend went to law school 15 years ago. Furthermore those 40-80k jobs that allow you to support yourself 10 years after graduating are all gone and many of them won't be coming back.

There should have been a government task force years ago, some school's tuition have doubled or tripled in the past 5 years. Its all these greedy school administrators making the cost of education so high, because they can't justify the huge rise in tuition.

They must be GOAT economics experts. Interesting thing is, the money isn't necessarily trickling down to the professors :wtf:

How much dough, are these adminstators caking in. Any stats on the breakdown, of where the money goes.

The main thing that gets me, is the cost of housing exceeding tuition.

Student loan debt is a big issue, but I think the more important issue is lack of job opportunities for young people. Regardless of how much student loan debt you have to take out, it'll be hard to pay it back if you can't find a job or are forced to take a BS job to get by (ie. waiting tables). Over half of recent grads are in this situation.

This is and will continue to be a big issue, since people in their 20s and 30s are putting off things like marriage and kids (birthrates are at the lowest in decades), not to mention not buying houses. And people that do have kids are having fewer kids.

That will have huge long term economic ramifications.

The schools have too much professors, too many departments, and administration is too big. Also, a lot of private universities are doubling or tripling their tuition for new degree programs & expansion of their campus.

Look at NYU. Their tuition's mad high just because all their money's held up in buying real estate in the Village and Dubai. Deadass they got a Dubai campus for no reason.

We still have too many toys to do anything about it. I have an OK job, enough to support myself, live on my own, and no debt. But I see the writing on the wall in general about the direction this country is going and the hardships our generation faces and the complete shyt storm the worst generation (baby boomers) has left us. But I still have my smart phone, PS3, big screen TV, netflix, car, and laptop. Until we can't afford those things we will not do a thing.

is everybody thats like 10 and 11 about to have all that when theyre your age tho

These universities are getting like Baby and throwing the tuition in the bushes.

Also, I wonder if for profit universities are affecting the status quo, because I can see graduates of University of Phoenix or Everest having a hard time in this competitive job market.
