that's the revolution that will happen in this country

can't saddle all the young people with permanent debt and think everything will be cool...

internet communication converging with all young people being broke and in serious debt = civil unrest

now if only there was nothing interesting on tv we might have something happen.

My guess is a tweet/FB wall posting revolution can only accomplish so much.

fukk the demons

the youth hold the power... we just need to harness it

We still have too many toys to do anything about it. I have an OK job, enough to support myself, live on my own, and no debt. But I see the writing on the wall in general about the direction this country is going and the hardships our generation faces and the complete shyt storm the worst generation (baby boomers) has left us. But I still have my smart phone, PS3, big screen TV, netflix, car, and laptop. Until we can't afford those things we will not do a thing.

Our generation has been destroyed by things like facebook and twitter. While in the ME those things may have helped the revolutions here in America we have been spoiled, we expect instantaneous result with minimal effort. We can communicate across the world telling everyone how we're out of toilet paper and now we expect a legit revolution to happen just as quickly and easily.

i see a future where most young americans don't have a car, decent job or tv with cable

all entertainment will come from the internet... is that enough to keep the people distracted? maybe

the fact that these sites deliver an ego boost/validation that one would normally get from a good day at work is good for the demons. though the rapid communication means things could turn ugly quick

That's why so many people are broke, but make more than enough for the basic necessities like food, clothes, and shelter. Its all the other crap they waste their money on...you can't blow $10k a year and expect to get ahead.

Let's not forget about how alcohol has been used for generations to keep people content.

On some well it's not that bad :manny:

Alcohol, porn, shiny gadgets, the list of distracting factors that keep people from taking an active interest in their own fates is huge. Lets be real tho.... Apathy is at the heart of it. Dudes dont care that much, and if they do, its not consistent.

What our generation suffers from most is discipline to stick with something, and the courage to follow through with a it.

This right here, we have too many "things" and we don't feel our liberties being stripped away, yet but it's happening everyday. I mean you can simply scroll through a few pages of threads on HL and see the evidence for yourself with some of the threads posted and a little independent research. But this is how "they" got us. By providing us with easy access to these material items that we really don't need and then Facebook, Twitter, and an overall controlled media. A revolution simply isn't possible with all these layers of deception controlling the overall masses.

Its all distraction and background noise. Also, that's $4,000 a year on cell phone, cable, and internet bills. The end result, we just turned ourselves into slaves.
