NYC (but PGH will forever be home)
hertz wasn’t just any penny stock. The went bankrupt because of the pandemic. But that company is bigger than enterprise and Avis. It wasn’t a matter of if they were going to bounce back but when. The only risk was the valuation. Normally creditors get paid first and investors get the rest. But the valuation is so high everybody gets to eat.

Breh, HTZ was in trouble WELL before the pandemic. The Company was on its way to a 'CCC' credit rating in February 2020. It has an aging fleet which requires more CapEx (which means negative FCF), weak margins, and it operates in a competitive and cyclical market place (i.e. penny stock).

Shareholders simply got lucky because there is a dearth of distressed opportunities for these distressed buyout firms. They are simply sitting on piles of AUM with no where to invest it, which results in crazy multiples.

So this lofty valuation is simply corollary to an overbought market.

Again- sounds like a lot of ya'll are just out here gambling under the guise of 'investing'.

It's all best guess and speculation. It's also rigged. SO if I can carve out of piece I'm taking it. :manny:

This stock isn't going any higher than $30 bucks a share unless some new innovation with movie theaters arises. shyt was steadily dropping on some blockbuster/radioshack type shyt even before the pandemic. Streaming is putting it out of business.
Not worth a buy imo, unless it drops to like $1 a share.

I want streaming to be the future but the studios have decided to stay with theaters
Marvel was the only company that could kill them and they decided to keep most of the big movies in theaters
I’m hoping if black widow does well on Disney plus they will release the other films in there but we will see.

Ultimately it's gonna to be the consumers who decide, not the studios. and it's clearly trending towards streaming. movie need some sort o innovation that we can do better at home, but sound and picture quality isn't it. Maybe go more into 3d or even 4d.
