So could it get to a point where they just stop trading AMC because of the price or....?
:mjlol:

hell the fukk no. Waaaaaay too many people involved at this point. Too many eyes on this. Doing that would call the integrity of the market into question before the public and generate massive protests, making Occupy Wall Street look like a block party.

They have to let this play out.

$300-$400 is light work. You skeptics should exercise some due diligence and educate yourselves on the particulars of this specific squeeze before saying stuff like this. You don’t seem to understand just how much of the float is owned by retail and how many shares were borrowed by the hedge funds. The math is very clear in what it bears out.

1. those shares have to be purchased by hedge funds.

2. retail owns the shares and, thus, sets the price.

3. if hedge funds decline to purchase the shares, the borrowed interest will keep rising.

4. the hedge funds eventually cannot afford to delay coverage of those borrowed shares..

5. the hedge funds attempt to cover but lack the money to do so.

6. the hedge funds are margin called.

let's hope retail sets the price to $100,000k per share gang

What’s a realistic ATH for GME and for AMC?

Bare minimum? $1,000. Definitely feasible? $10,000. Reachable if people hold? $50,000. Theoretically possible but dependent on tremendous resolve by investors who see 5 digits and imagine how much money that will make them if they cash out? $100,000 and up.

Regarding this GME and AMC stuff, have any of the trading brokerage apps crashed this time around?

Also, GME is a higher per share price right now, but it's also riskier, no?

If none of these gigantic share prices come to pass, would you rather be holding GME or AMC? I figure that despite the proliferation of at-home streaming services, AMC still has some potential to be a decent stock at it's current price just because of the social event of people going to the movies. Before all of this meme stuff, GME was pretty much dying, no?

:manny: I completely stayed out of it last time, but I may see about throwing some money into AMC this time around.

Im seeing so much coaxing for people to sell. robinhood actually emailed me to say I should diversify smh
Yup there seems to be a coordinated effort to get people to sell at about $50 on Friday.

I say hold at least until the 2nd when they do the share count. That should give us a bit more info on what to expect.
