I explained in the thread earlier that I'm using Cash App as a means of getting my feet wet in trading. However, I realize Cash App may not be the most trustworthy with everything that's going on with AMC.

Recently, I opened an account with Fidelity as a backup, but I saw that Cash App allows you to transfer your stocks to another brokerage account. I was thinking about moving mines to Fidelity. Have yall tried transferring before? Should I expect anything fugazi?
If you don’t mind me asking, what about them that’s not trustworthy in your opinion. I remember back in January they was one of the only places I could buy Amc and GameStop when the other brokerages froze it

Cash app is trustworthy. It’s actually the quickest and simplest way to get money in and out of the market. You don’t even have to wait the two days for funds to settle before you transfer them out.

It’s just very simple. Cant do stop losses. Cant do limit orders. No options trading etc.

It’s just market orders in and out.

Yup from my research this is all true. Quick and easy. Can literally cash out same day

I haven't had any problems with Cash App so far, but with how someone like Robinhood handled Gamestop, I'm just wondering if I should move my stuff to any actual brokerage.

Just wanna make sure there's no funny stuff when it's time to sell. That's it.

I understand that for sure. Cash app was literally one of the only ones who did halt GameStop or Amc when it was rising tho.

It doesn't matter, the trading was halted because most of gamestop shareholders were all on those platforms and barely on fidelity

because of the high volume they had to halt trading because they didn't have enough money to cover all the orders because the demand was so high

even though Fidelity has more money than robinhood and webull etc, because a lot of AMC shareholders will be on Fidelity this time, it will probably be halted as well at the certain time

but that's a good idea when you should once they stop the ability to buy, when the cut the water off, its time to sell any that's the highest they will let it go up

Read the thread :banderas:

Yeah, I just finished reading this. It really shows just how massive this squeeze is poised to be. Keep in mind that the 86 million number he cites is a LOW BALL estimate, and the $2,000/per share price ignores the buying and holding of the retail investors, being just the calculated rate that’s reached when using the numbers we have.

One thing I’m also noticing how the floor keeps rising, with higher lows at an increasing rate.

I was thinking of selling high and buying the dips to increase the number of shares I hold but that’d require me to watch the ups and downs like a hawk and with me constantly working it’s not really feasible. I wish I had at least 100 shares.
Yea I did that twice. Definitely gotta watch. But you can set alerts to certain dip levels and certain high levels
