There’s a little hope floating out there.
It’s just been so long; there’s no reason to sell at this point. Just wait to break even or close to it

You're welcome.
Yes, the settlement offer from the board of AMC is to give 1 share for every 7.5 you own, but it counts after the RS. Which means you will need to have at least 80 shares to get 1 free share (80 shares turns into 8 shares). The free share will have same value as the new RS price ($29-30 if RS happened Friday). 150 shares gets 2 free shares, (150 turns into 15 shares), etc.
But remember, the Judge has yet to approve this offer by AMC suits. She could also rule it higher (2 free shares, etc.). Some people I know are writing a letter contesting the settlement offer, asking the Judge to consider a few more shares to make up for the truer value for shareholders financial losses--- 40% of AMC share values taken away on Aug 22, 2022. And then added loss of APE units being drastically reduced.
APEs were not a true "dividend" as stated. Dividends pay you $, add to your portfolio value; they don't take $ out of your portfolio value, make it less.
Yeah it's basically the lawsuit settlement where it's been determined that to make sure AMC stock holders don't lose value when they convert APE to AMC. Since APE is worth more and has more shares they are going to be giving 7 additional shares for every 1 share that AMC holders have. So we'll receive those shares. Then the APE to AMC conversion happens and then the reverse stock split. More complicated than that but a dumbed down version. From what I read on Reddit, it looks like it's a stock settlement and not money. Some people will get extra shares. That's not really good in my eyes, but I might be missing something
