How much does it cost?

It depends ask your broker. I didn’t cuz in Canada with wealthsimple trade its like 300$ per share
Plus I got my stocks in a Tax free savings account(TFSA) which according to them I should be good either way. But I can’t drs even with my tfsa I would need to have a cash account

From my limited understanding, you're basically taking full ownership of the shares from the market maker you bought from (Fidelity, Schwab, Robinhood, etc.) I was going to do it, but I can't get a straight answer on if I'd be able to sell fast enough to maximize profit if the squeeze happens.

That's the only reason i'm not doing DRS, i'd be mad af if I couldn't sell in time of the squeeze.

The question has always been "when" "how much" and "what does it look like?"

Those looking for quick profit have already sold so the ones still holding are the folks fully dedicated. My guess is that there's not a ton of buying pressure so everyone is just waiting for the catalyst that gets the dominoes falling.

Hedgies are in a tough spot because they've waited too long. The day trader, quick flip brehs have long since moved on so you're stuck with the stubborn investors that have nothing to lose and unlimited patience.
