My impressions:

The Bad

I can't explain it but the "soul" was missing. I remember leaving SM2 with these expressions :gladbron::ahh:. With this movie it was more like :ehh: Raimi added something to the series that made u had some emotional response to the movies whether good feelings (SM1, SM2) or bad ones (SM3)...I felt nothing after this movie ended.
To each their own, but this movie had actual emotional and depth to the characters unlike the previous movies.

Those scenes where he's struggling with the gun shot wound had me :smh: the whole time...like really b ?
He never been shot before. How was he suppose to react? Spider-Man gets hurt. He isn't bulletproof.

:damn: where's the "with great power..." line? How u have all the little touches like web shooters etc but not have the signature spiderman line?...its like they went outta their way not to include that shyt
It's there, just worded differently so it would come off cheesy. It's at the part when Ben is pissed at Peter, iirc.

Unnecessarily taking off the mask again. :snoop:
I chalked it up to him being new and not thinking of the potential consequences, but he had good reason to on the bridge scene.

The Ugly

Not feeling that "emo" vibe at all...it wasn't as bad as I thought it was from the previews but still. Also I didn't like how Parker was portrayed at times, dude acted near retarded...could hardly speak clearly and shyt...it was cringe worthy at times.

All in all a solid 3.75/5. Sequel could be classic tho if done right.
I don't think that was "emo" LOL
He was a genius, dorky and a loner (not by choice), not antisocial and moody. The portrayal here is the closet I seen to the actual character. He was a mix of 616 Parker and Ultimate Parker.

Raleigh by way of Crooklyn
I took my son to see it today at the IMAX theater. I enjoyed it. I'm not a Spiderman stan, so I don't look at it with a very critical eye, like I would for my nikkas Iron Man and Batman. That being said, I thought that Garfield played a very good Peter Parker/Spiderman. I didn't realize how corny Tobey Maguire was until I saw this one. He had a good mix of dorkiness/darkness to him, which almost reminded me of Michael Keaton's portrayal of Bruce Wayne.

I know some dudes wanted this movie to crush the buildings, but I look at it as the appetizer before the main course in two weeks when Batman allows us all to :eat: heartily.

I couldn't get down with this. Like a previous poster said, it didn't have any real feeling or "soul" to it. Also for a spidey movie it took itself too seriously. Had too much of a Batman Begins type of vibe which doesn't really work for this source material imo.

I gave this a 5/10, I liked that the film focused on his high school years something the Raimi films glossed over and also the fact Peter actually creates web-shooters and not the actual webbing (something I have never agreed with) and it was nice to have Spidey throw out some cocky lines.

I think Garfield is a good choice as PP/SM. but the pacing was all over the place. Obviously I will take this over the debacle that was Spiderman 3 and it makes a case for being better than the first one but it does not hold a candle to part 2, overall it was a decent watch.

Great movie, fukk these fake ass film critics :pacspit:.. It was better than the last three simply because they really got the story right and it wasn't as goofy. This and xmen first class is the way marvel movies need to be from now on..

t-dot till they bury me
What was up with that scene after the credits?

connors in a jail cell; lightning strikes

I'm paraphrasing here

man appears -"did you tell the boy about his father?" (it looks like he's rubbing a fedora hat of some sort)
connors - "leave the boy alone"

lightning strikes; man disappears

I hope they do the goblin justice this time around, by far this sticks out as one of my favorite episodes of Spider-Man TAS, one of the great moments from the comic-book version was in this episode too, when Peter decides to throw one of his web cartridges in to the fire as a distraction, Norman toying around with parkers other identity, all around great episode, Spider-Man done right, the greatest incarnation of Spidey ever done...Spider-Man TAS.

maaaan, that was the golden era.

You know who he was supposed to be?
