This time around, the usually solid Chris Cooper will put on Willem Dafoe's green suit as the villain, playing Norman Osborne, who you already know is the father of Harry Osborne, slated to be played by Dane DeHaan. There's no word yet on if Cooper is a fully fledged baddie at his point, or will start flying around scaring people in "The Amazing Spider-Man 3.

Clearly the Green Goblin arc will be part of the story. He may not become him until the end of the film but it's still another major character added to an already bloated film.

Way too many villains

They are building a universe. Establishing it.

You're not going to see all of these guys costumed in this movie. Most of them will be just regular dudes.

You're going to see the beginning of their story archs, which will end over 5,6,7,8 or however many movies they decide to do in the Spiderman universe.
