Ayoooo

Yea im seeing this

About the whole returning veto genovese vs costello+luciano war for the family and what happened from it. See many moments of real life referenced. Ie. The anastasia hit, gigante hit on frank, acid in the reporters face, appalachin, valachi and strollo (guy next to genovese with eye glass and cane) is dead on. If they doing that with little known guys like him, i expect a bunch of references. And an eventual luciano/lansky cameo

This beef is prolly best to make a movie on so because it involves so many famous guys, and huge moments and betrayals, gimmick aside, this looks good imo.

I grew up studying the rise of Luciano, Lanksy, Costello, Vito Genovese...the Genovese family of today is really the Luciano family in disguise. Costello was in charge when Luciano was deported after the prison stint was overturned. Genovese was jealous but there was a murder rap he kept running from. So he made things difficult on himself in the end...

What are the connections to GoodFellas & The Irishman? any of the same writers?

I'm familiar with this story:

Costello was the boss of the Luciano Family (now Genovese family), and Vito Genovese was his underboss. Vito wanted to take over the family, but idk if it was deeper than that, maybe he wanted to sell H and Costello wasn't about it? VIto recruits his protege, future boss, Vincent Gigante to kill Costello. Gigante shoots, misses, and goes into hiding. Eventually he's arrested, but Costello refuses to point him out in court so Gigante walks free. Costello falls back and Vito takes control of the family.

Warner Bros. has three upcoming films featuring lead actors in dual roles: •
Mickey 17: Robert Pattinson as clones •
Sinners: Michael B. Jordan as twin vampires •
Alto Knights: Robert De Niro as rival mob bosses

This thread having a positive reaction to this trailer is crazy :heh:

Beside the gimmick i dont see whats so crazy

Basically every mob heads dream movie with the greatest mob novie actor ever in 2 leads? This aint low level shyt like goodfellas and casino about.

Genovese/luciano family are the ivy leagues of crime especially at that time. Between the politics of frank costello, the streets with genovese, and lucky luciqno basically strategizing and creating the modern day dope game from sicily i dont see how any modern mob film head wouodnt wanna see this. The attention to detail is crazy.

Plus barry levinson is a fine director who made many classic films

This shyt looks like straight to VOD generic trash breh i don't know what to tell you. And Barry Levinson hasn't made a good film since the 90s
