The Afterparty is an American murder mystery comedy streaming television series created by Christopher Miller that premiered on Apple TV+ on January 28, 2022.

The series takes place at a high school reunion after party with each episode "a different character's perspective" of what happened that night.[3] Critic Olivia Rutigliano noted that it is an example of "the millennial whodunnit," a new subgenre of murder mystery in which the investigation is a vehicle for characters to find second chances, personal fulfillment, and a departure from boring or oppressive daily life (through the feeling that their life has become a new genre).

Didn't see a thread on this. Anyway I watched the first three episodes and it's funny and entertaining. Also has a pretty unique approach

The cool hook of the series is that each episode tells the murder from a different character's perspective but also with the tone of a different genre. First ep is a romcom, second ep is an action thriller, third ep is a musical, etc.

First episode is on YouTube. Rest of the series is on Apple TV.

I started watching before work only half way through ep 1 but man Tiffany Haddiah seems miscast so far.

Even as a comedy I don’t believe she’s the super observant, lead detective archetype.

The party cast is cool so far

Watched the first 3 episodes and enjoyed them :ehh:

So far, I continue to be more impressed with Apple TV's comedy slate than their dramas.

Just watched the latest episode focused on Chelsea.

Shed some new light while hinting that episode 5 should be big for the series.

I'm thinking that maybe

Xavier lied and said he slept with Chelsea or she slept with someone and it ruined her reputation and that was why she wanted to get back at him, before changing her mind.

I feel like we are going to find out Xavier is a virgin.
