You're speaking for yourself and what you feel. I'm speaking on what's happening, they flat out don't cover anything going on over there like they use to

Yeah the world changed since the 90's because of shyt like this...major news outlets dumbing down their content to a 3rd grade level so they can appeal to a wider audience thus = $$$$

Whole lot of Africa-related threads here end up in "HYON" and "fukk em they sold us" bs. And your last sentence is exactly what I'm talking about : they don't report on it because the wider audience they want just doesnt care. Now we can debate what comes first (people not caring/major media outlets fishing for dollars), but the fact remains, vast majority of people just don't care about Africa. Add that to the fact that the Congo is vital for the world's economy and has basically been at war for decades with various factions backed by various foreign governments/multinationals, then you understand that the less the general public knows about it the better it is.

Religion is a cancer in Africa. Hopefully education in this century frees the population of this plague.

Killing your fellow African over an Arab or Jew :snoop:

People care about human rights stories, people care if there's growing threats in the world regardless of where it is, africa or otherwise

People care but the right people don't care. The problem is the borders of Africa need to be redrawn.

How did a Islamic group end up in Christian ass Uganda and Congo???? Something is fishy here...
Taking out Gaddafi in Libya has led a domino effect of instability of the Sahel. This is what I meant that Libya being unstable is leading to Islamic jihadist groups getting more weapons, training, also bases to operate. As the fighting and instability in Libya gets worse jihadist groups will use the Sahel to destabilize African countries.

I'm not sure when but the decision to massively cut the foreign press budgets led to this as well. You used to see reporters actually abroad. Now if you're lucky they'll green screen it.

They made the decision once Youtube and twitter became a thing. Remember the Bin Laden raid was live tweeted not live broadcasted

Why am I not suprised by this happening in the DRC. The DRC is the gift that keeps on giving when it comes to negative shyt about Africa.
Let's face it. The DRC would be better of if it didn't exist. Let it split and leave the chips as they fall.

Breh that was one of the most sorry "we're concerned" clout-chasing PR campaigns I've ever seen. On par with that KONY2012 bullshyt :mjlol:

Indeed. Anyone who knew two shyts about Africa knew this is was gonna happen, but the West wanted Gaddafi out regardless of the consequences. And here we are now :francis:
