I remember when I tried to temper the extreme optimism about Tanzania and was given hell

Now theyve morphed into a totalitarian police state

:mjlol:

As long as things are progressing :manny:

I mean seriously.. you all see the situation we're in globally. We don't have time for all this moral high road shyt.
So I don't care about some albinos and journalist being killed. or some pastorals being kicked off the land. The nation progressing under black control/hands is what's important.

They can do all that moral hand wringing shyt once their country is built up, and their worrying about silly shyt like what brand of vegan milk to buy.

Social infrastructure is a key metric for progress.

Is a nation really moving forward if its at the direct expense of its citizens?

They've improved in most sectors under him and their economy has been growing 7% and is projected until 2026(I know we don't take projections serious, but all sign point to their economy going the stable right)

I'd rather my country be Ghaddafi Libya than DR Congo or early '10 Ghana

some folks don't deserve freedom of speech anyways

How the growth is being distrubted is more important.

A stable economy but for whom and at whoms expense?

Sure, there are powerful countries with robust economies that do their citizens dirty but I’m not idealizing them.

YES

You think places like Singapore, Japan, SK, China, hell even the west got built up without some of the citizens getting rocked for progress.

Like I said a lotta shyt can be overlooked as long as the country is progressing. I'm sure folk would rather live in a country head some where and maybe not be able to speak out. VS a shythole where they have freedom of speech :skip:

I'm sure Japan and China's rises weren't on perfect all democracy shyt.

Not that Tanzania needs to be those two.

Yep

China is the only one you listed that makes sense and thats due to its ginormous population.

And even still, these nations are the products of Western benevolence.

Yall really try too hard to put a square peg in a round hole.

China isn't the only one that makes sense, the others do to.

The west is on it's way out.

Well wishing isnt a very convincing argument

Neither is listing countries that are largely the result of Western FDI and capitalism

Tanzania doesnt have that nor the public infrastructure

Come up with better arguments for totalitarian states because “7 % growth” with no breakdown on where its allocated is not cutting it

You're the only one talking about wishing.

Capitalism isn't going away Poitier :yeshrug:

20yrs..a generation is all the time it takes to build the type of infrastructure needed out. Tanzania looks to be on the right path.

and freedom/liberty.. that high minded shyt isn't the future for the world.

its easy to say Tanzanians shouldn't complain about creeping totalitarianism when it doesn't affect you all the way in America

I don't recall saying they shouldn't complain. Just that I don't care so long as things are improving.

But anyway... yeah it would be easy for me to tell them not to complain.. VERY EASY to tell them they shouldn't complain. WHY?

because I'm an AA in the belly of the god damned beast.
