All I can do is recommend good shyt to people. If they don't wanna check it out, it's their loss. I've been going to moves dolo for years and have no qualms about it
The Handmaiden on Prime Video is fi’ and has a similar premise. Another Korean movie.

looking at all the best picture winners of the 2010s, was Parasite the best film of the decade?

• The King’s Speech (2010) • The Artist (2011) • Argo (2012) • 12 Years a Slave (2013) • Birdman (2014) • Spotlight (2015) • Moonlight (2016) • The Shape of Water (2017) • Green Book (2018) • Parasite (2019)

I think I enjoyed it more than all the other winners. Obviously there are many more to choose from, but it seems to eclipse the other winners
For sure, tied with Birdman for me.

Not that many great choices last decade at all. The fukking Artist :mjlol: it cleaned up at the Oscars, and literally no one talks about that movie

i actually watched like an hour of it this year and my biggest takeaway was...

having eminem perform seemed really random and weird. just him doing an old hit completely out of nowhere had us like :what:
He didn’t attend or perform Lose Yourself when it won the Oscar for Best Original Song. Didn’t think it was going to win. That’s why.

Argo winning was a bit of a joke as well, enjoyable movie, sure, but extra, extra lightweight. There was so much from 2012 that was more deserving. The Artist, I never even bothered to see that, or Green Book, or Shape of Water.

12 Years a Slave was very good, as was Birdman, and Spotlight, but easily Ex Machina is a better movie than Spotlight from 2015, no question. But, Spotlight was very old Hollywood style journalism, just the facts type of movie.

His fear of Salma's box is gonna morph into self-hatred and then eventually hate. He'll lock himself in his mansion and then see how many multi rhymes he can squeeze out of the name Salma Hayek, which will be the only multis he will ever get from Salma Hayk.

The Handmaiden isn't really similar at all as I remember it.

I've read The Housemaid, from '60, was an influence though
