A producer is the project manager that make sure the film actually gets made from script, preproduction, principal photography down to the locked edit. A director controls the visual image but the producer is taking care of shyt we don’t even know or care about.Can someone explain what a producer does that warrants an award? And how it differs from Directing? I never understood this award.
