Perfect timing. We're at a point in history where common workers have more power than they've had in decades. For years various industries treated employees like shyt with frequent threats that they could all be easily replaced by the end of the day if they failed to fall in line or did some wild shyt like idk, refusing to work overtime or come in and "help out" off the clock.

The 2007 writer's strike shook things up for a bit, but at the end of the day those involved were TV writers who already had a lot of power just by the nature of the kind of work they did. That strike crippled the industry because dozens of popular TV series' and late night talk shows suddenly had no new material and were forced to go on hiatus.

But now things are a lot different and it's the "low level" workers who have all the power. A lot of stuff people in entertainment had formerly taken for granted now comes at a premium cost.

If you're gonna try to get increased wages.. now's the time to do it

and yeah.. this shyt has the potential of being far worse then the writers strike
