Capitalize his name all you want, but ANY PLAYER has an easier time shooting the 3 than to scoring deep in the paint. It is 10x easier to jack up a 3 point shot vs driving/banging in the paint

As a non-Center gets older, they start to drift further and further away from the basket. Easier to jack up shots 25 feet out and hope they go in vs banging in the paint adding wear and tear on your body, especially in the era we are in where mindlessly jacking up 3 point shots are encouraged

If the three didn't exist, LeBron would find a different way to score, probably would've just gotten better at long 2's/mid-range jumpers and hit those at a high clip - if it was simply the three other washed players would be playing at that level too...but they aren't. LeBron passed Kareem on the scoring list because...just like Kareem did, he remained a good player in his later years. Plain and simple.

The numbers you posted prove your point wrong. If all of LeBron's 2,469 3 Pointers were counted as only 2 pointers, LeBron would have 38,685 Points. Still more than Kareem.
