The 3 point era is the reason why Lebron passed Kareem on the All Time Scoring List

TYRONE GA!
Kareem was in uncharted territory after braking Wilt 's record. No one was playing for 20 years back then with 7 game series in the first round or playing with two other top 5 picks in their draft class. Kareem has to have one of the best basketball careers when you consider the above and his college resume.

Kareem is the GOAT Basketball Player

Completely dominated and won multiple times on EVERY LEVEL

nah breh...cats in here acting like we didn't see cavs and heat version of lebron with our own eyes. dude was beastmode unstoppable.

smh at these struggle hate threads tho. dudes keep moving the goalposts to try and discredit. he was destined to be one of the goats and lived up to it. just admit you don't like him and move on.

They call him LeBulldoze for a reason, i would say a 2 pointer in the paint is easier for him...thats where he scored the most of his points.

GagErcIWAAA02j-

but for arguments sake, lets say the answer was a 3 point shot...then what?
Dirk was a fukking cheat code from those spots :wow:

The 718
Still doesn't answer my question. I'll ask again

Which is easier to attempt, a 3 point shot, or a 2 point shot in the paint?
So let me get this straight: are you insinuating that LEBRON JAMES would have an easier time shooting a three than a shot in the paint? LeBron, a mediocre three-point shooter and one of the greatest paint scorers of all time?

Capitalize his name all you want, but ANY PLAYER has an easier time shooting the 3 than to scoring deep in the paint. It is 10x easier to jack up a 3 point shot vs driving/banging in the paint

And LEBRON JAMES himself has proved that

Wasn't until the 2018-2019 season when he started to age and not be a Top 5 player, where you see his 3 point attempts finally reach 6 attempts a game, and peaked at 8 attempts a game in 2021-2022. As a non-Center gets older, they start to drift further and further away from the basket. Easier to jack up shots 25 feet out and hope they go in vs banging in the paint adding wear and tear on your body, especially in the era we are in where mindlessly jacking up 3 point shots are encouraged

If the three didn't exist, LeBron would find a different way to score, probably would've just gotten better at long 2's/mid-range jumpers and hit those at a high clip - if it was simply the three other washed players would be playing at that level too...but they aren't. LeBron passed Kareem on the scoring list because...just like Kareem did, he remained a good player in his later years. Plain and simple.

The numbers you posted prove your point wrong. If all of LeBron's 2,469 3 Pointers were counted as only 2 pointers, LeBron would have 38,685 Points. Still more than Kareem.
