Heard on a podcast () the other day "age of ultron is a disappointment for everyone who wants to see a movie in May and remember it in June"

I've long explained why I felt the way I did about AoU, if you want to disagree, that's your choice but I'm sure you'd be repeating it if I had said it on a podcast since that's where you get all "your" opinions from.

What foolishness is this? Anyone can see that Duvernay's direction in Selma is too abysmal to leave any real impact, forcing the film to rely completely on the content of its story for any semblance of an emotional core. It's stupid reasoning like this why @FlyRy still won't accept that Birdman was garbage because 'it's so prestigious'.

I think there's something to be said for being able to take a flick on face value and determine if it accomplishes what it sets out to do. John Wick isn't trying to do the same thing as Selma but they can both be good movies. But someone saying John Wick is good but Selma isn't (it's dope af by the way) doesn't have a transitive property

exactly! if u go into a flick about ninjas thinking it'll have a nolan-esque story and harbor on the fact that its not, to the point where u cant enjoy the piffness of it. u lost...word to into the badlands and ninja assassin

The movie has its fair share of writing duds but it also has scenes like this which are far greater than anything in a certain superhero movie by a not-to-be-named rival of Marvel that truly defines a shytty film with hack writing.

Lol good catch on the typo. I changed it. And the sentiment remains. In fact they wanted the third to redeem them from the second one. Of course that didn't happen at all but in the early process it was more like the first. Check out that turtle doc they dropped last year
