I find it a little crazy how people are acting like the Mets were wrong for DFAing him. It would've been embarrassing to still have him in that clubhouse. You can give him the benefit of the doubt on the worst teammate/team thing but his behavior on the field and in the post-game showed lack of respect for the team and his manager.
The Mets can't win in the court of public opinion. It's cool to pile on the Mets right now, so any decision would be the wrong one for most of these bozos out here.

DFA him = wrong
Keep him = wrong

Yes, it's been that way for a minute. The media loves the 'same old Mets' narrative. Definitely adds an element of difficulty for the team.

Some moves made today already

Mets roster moves we know so far:

- Brett Baty to Triple-A
- Christian Scott to Triple-A
- Jose Iglesias to MLB
- Dedniel Núñez to MLB
- Luis Torrens acquired from Yankees and added to MLB roster
- Omar Narváez DFA'd

Narvaez is making like 7 million this year so that's how bad he's been playing to get DFAes making skrilla like that. Good riddance.
Was rooting for Baty but Vientos is hitting way better and his defense while not as good is not unplayable anymore. Good for him. Run with it dawg, he's got 30-40 HR power as an everyday player.
