Woke up this morning shocked that we kept both our 1s. Figured we were going to trade at least one of 'em.

Pleasantly surprised that Bateman was still there at 27. Watching some of his highlights this morning, I might like him even a little better than Marshall.

I just knew we were taking Oweh. :francis: Apparently he graded really well last season, though...think I heard someone say this morning that he had more pressures than Yannick had for us, and in fewer games. Plus he's an athletic freak, so hopefully Wink can bring that potential out.

I like the 4.3 speed but zero sacks?
Take a pass rusher with 5 sacks in two years in the first round brehs
:heh:

I don't know I'm feeling about that either :mjlol:

Reminds me of that other penn state bust that graduated from a howard county school. Maybin? 4.35 speed or not Oweh needs some weight on him.

I’m more interested in his 10 yard shuttle time becuz if he has to use his 40 speed on the field something bad happened
:heh:

Yes Aaron Maybin. He was a good rookie year I think but got hurt and was never right

Oweh is a project. Suggs came to the Ravens as a bona-fide pass rusher. I don't think they've ever "developed" a pass rusher. Their work is cut out for them. I don't like the pick and I didn't like the Humphrey pick and I'm glad I was wrong about Marlon. Hopefully, I'm wrong about Oweh too.

Tryon was the perfect fit for their system due to his versatility. Azeez was more of a 4-3 end, but he would've contributed as a pass rusher while his coverage skills developed.

I hope he develops, but IMO, 1st round picks shouldn't be projects. They need to come ready to compete and contribute.

Also, Deacosta said on Twitter the Ravens are not willing to spend draft capital to get into the 2nd round, so if you're hoping they try to get a safety or oline help, it's not happening until round 3.
you do realize that ZaDarius Smith and Matt Judon were 4th and 5th round picks that the Ravens developed into probowlers :dahell:

neither has half the talent as Oweh

I like this pick way more than the Bateman pick

I dont see him as a project at all

hes great against the run so he'll play from day 1

I wouldn't call Judon developed. He's an effort guy that got his sacks against TEs or from being unblocked.

Zadarius was great in bmore...his contract year.

Kaufusi never developed, Anthony Weaver never developed, Chris Wormley...Ravens have missed on more defensive ends than the guys who were already legit. Peter Boulware and Suggs were already proven.

Oweh is a workout freak, but this looks like DeCosta had an AL Davis moment. I would love if Oweh develops into one of the most prolific pass rushers in NFL history, leads the NFL in sacks multiple years and anchors the defense for a decade, but I think there were more proven options at pass rusher available.

Ravens gonna be picking soon. I haven't been keeping up with the 3rd round much, but hopefully they get some oline or safety help.

On another note, the Browns and Bills looking scary af. :hamster::lupe:
