Should’ve at least won it in 2019 and 2023.

We not doing this....now all of a sudden they're "average"

Game flow/Game script Matters

Based on the SB so far, the only outlooks we can take as Ravens fans
-The Eagles are really good. Our loss to the Eagles was us actually getting beat and not beating ourselves like we usually do.
-Our defensive line needs to be more disruptive while only rushing 4

Mahomes didn't even make the Pro Bowl this year.

Their best WR has been a rookie the last two years.

Maybe average is not the word, but they haven't had that gear they had back in 2022 and before that.

Granted the Ravens werent loaded on offense in 2023 either. However, they had home field and a better defense. This years team had the talent to give Philly the best shot.

Its a shame they blew it.

*Here's hoping Mahomes doesn't pull a Brady*

Humphrey said a couple weeks ago that the best team he thinks they saw all year was Philly but they should’ve won that game too. Lost by 5 with Tucker leaving 7 points on the board. Missed both kicks with the ravens down by a score of 12-14 and the eagles turned the short field off the 2nd miss into a touchdown to put the game away.

You're underestimating game script/game flow

Not every game is going to call for a shootout

Managing the game to lead towards a WIN matters (Did we not learn anything from our Divisional round loss vs Buffalo Bills).
In the playoffs, the Ravens need to learn how to do boring stuff aKa Manage the game

That's something that Mahomes have done that led to back-to-back Super Bowl wins

I've feel like that was going to be the best chance we were going to get for a while. I hope I'm wrong.

KC is weak at the skill positions. Gonna be hard to keep going. They’ll eventually hit the wall. This team just needs to improve on the offensive line, scheme or talent their way to generating more turnovers, and protect the ball in January. They have arguably the best quarterback in the league still in his 20’s and finally have some continuity on their coaching staff. Just execute and don’t beat themselves and they can get it done.

Last year if flowers doesn’t fumble at the goal line, they probably win the afc title game. This year if Andrews doesn’t fumble down 5 and drop the conversion pass, they’re in the afc title game. 2021 and 2022 they contend for the title if Lamar doesn’t get hurt. The window with an all time great quarterback isn’t like the window with a solid or a good quarterback who needs a great running game and a great defense. I think a lot of people don’t realize just how many flaws Lamar can cover up and how he consistently takes this team further than it should be.

That's why the whole "value" talking point in the MVP discussion are in bad faith.

TV, social media, thecoli everyone has an opinion without actually watching and analyzing the damn game.
People take nonchalant, and making it look easy for granted.

We said it in the other thread surface level, toxic discourse that's usually in the NBA has now dumbed down NFL discourse smh

Right out the gate the play where Lamar hit Likely for a score to keep the comeback alive in Cincinnati and the 30 yard run down to the goal line during the home win vs them are plays that I don’t think anyone but Lamar could’ve saved and they lose both of those games without him making those plays. That means no division title and maybe even no playoffs at all. I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a quarterback who does so much that doesn’t show up on a stat sheet. I almost typed in my last post in here that Lamar is a unicorn on par with Steph Curry but yeah I think that’s a fair comparison to make with how a guy like Steph has an effect on everyone else just by being out there. Lamar is the same way. If the coaches can again do a solid job and someone besides Lamar and Henry show up next winter, a healthy ravens team has as good a chance as anyone to win it.

Even as great as Mahomes, football is a complementary sport.
Guys need to do their job.

Moreso on what you're saying, when guys don't do their job there's no other QB that makes up for bad plays by their teammates more than Lamar.
Plays that are DOA(dead on arrival), Lamar somehow turns it into a positive play
To me that's the true testament of "value".

Just crazy man. I really thought that was a Super Bowl preview.

It should’ve been

-Losses to Raiders and Browns
-Justin Tucker, Marcus Williams, Eddie Jackson, and Brandon Stephens screwed us
-Refs making an example out of our offensive line in the season opener w/ illegal formation penalties
-Pass defense getting a slow start
-Special teams hurt us more than helped
-Diontae Johnson was supposed to be that complimentary WR

Based on the above we host a divisional playoff game, and possibly win a Super Bowl
