2014 MLB Payrolls

(playoff teams)

L.A. Dodgers: $235M

Detroit Tigers: $162M

L.A. Angels: $156M

San Francisco Giants: $154M

Washington Nationals: $135M

St. Louis Cardinals: $111M

Baltimore Orioles: $107M

Kansas City GAWDS: $92M :blessed:

(shyt teams)

NY Yankees: $204M :mjlol:

Philadelphia Phillies: $180M :mjlol:

Boston Red Sox: $163M :mjlol:
The playoffs are a crap shoot. The Angels played the equivalent of a shytty weekend series. If this was the regular season, they could of went on to win games for the next two weeks and those 3 games would of been brushed off in hindsight.

That's cool and errthang...but naw.

Royals and Angels split the season series. And the playoffs aren't a crap shoot - you either make plays or you don't.

and that's why it is stupid for big market teams to overpay players. just because a team has the money doesn't mean they should throw it away for the sake of making headlines.

nine times out of ten when a big name player gets an outrageous contract, that player gets lazier by the day and doesn't produce the same type of numbers he did before. the smart teams will use that player as long as they can while paying him a more than fair amount of money, and then trade his ass whenever he's 30 years old and demanding a long term contract for a ridiculous amount of money.

the vast majority of the bums who played on teams like the Yankees, Phillies, and Red Sox should be forced to donate most of their salary to charity this year if you ask me because they definitely didn't earn it. I bet most them dudes lay in bed at night and laugh themselves to sleep like "I can't believe I get away with this shyt!":mjlol:

I'm not taking anything away from KC but a 7 game series during the regular season doesn't say much. It could of easily gone either way. Division rivals play each other way more than 7 times.

The Angels just gave one of the sh*ttiest post season performances I've ever seen in my life.

Remember when Alex Gordon came up and was being hailed as the new George Brett, next superstar, great Royal hope, etc... He was labeled a bust for years.

This was his 2008 line at third base, which I admittedly don't remember how good his D was - 16/59/.260/.351/.432

This was his line in left field in 2014 - 19/74/.266/.351/.432

If you ask any so called "expert" about Alex Gordon, they'd probably list him as a top 20 player in baseball. Early in the season, people were touting him as the MVP. in 2008 he was a bust.

I'm enjoying the playoffs don't get me wrong... but for fukk sake, gimmie some goddamn steroids!
