I avoided this thread all night because I want to watch it when I have a chance.

But then if Zimmerman gave up a run we'd be saying why didn't he take him out . Not specifically you guys, bit I think we have to remember the power of hindsight here.

It's so easy to do that in sports. Storen is a good closer and he has been lights out lately. His job is to close games at the end and that's exactly what the situation called for. So who do you trust to get the other team's best guy out? The guy that has already thrown 100 pitches or your closer who is ready to come out and throw gas and close the game like he always does?

There was a strong case for either one of them. With either option, the odds were overwhelmingly in the Nationals' favor that they would win. The odds of getting a runner home from first with two outs is probably less than 10%. And If you don't trust the ball in your closers hand in that situation, there is no reason to have him on the team.
