They replayed the pitch that initially set Cabrrera off and the pitch tracker showed it as a strike barely. It wasn't an egregious call by any stretch. Nationals just stressing cuz they know they have to win this game.

The issue with the first one isn't that it wasn't TECHNICALLY a strike, but rather that that pitch in that count is RARELY called a strike. The called K-zone isn't a rectangle. The corners are rounded.

That said, the 3-2 pitch was belt high mistake fastball.....no reason he shouldn't have crushed that pitch.

The strike zone SHOULD be from the knees to the letters. Umps changed the game over the years, but that's a real strike

I cant find Dodgers game anywhere
I think pitchers are too good now for the letters to work (especially on the inside and outside corners) but we have become used to belt high fastballs down the middle being called balls. The strike zone is supposed to determine what is reasonably hittable. The zone should be more of a diamond shape IMO.

it wasnt called a strike in this game. Thats what got me and other fans and Cabrera upset.

Ump changed it up with the Bryce at bat in the 9th, and then that one.
