oh no, he has been a beast defensively this year. Absolutely outstanding. And he makes spectacular plays look routine.

He just has some instances where he fouls up the routine. He should win the Gold Glove this year. He has been the best 3rd basemen in the NL since he received that first cortisone shot in late June.


A lot of his truly bad defensive play was before the cortisone shot.

Just got home from watching the Cards game at my pops crib.

Man, I'm done with this team. Bases loaded, and can't score with 0 outs? I can't even be emotionally invested in this shyt anymore, last year already took all of it out of me.

And fukk Mike Matheny for taking out Mujica who got 3 outs on like 7 pitches. And fukk Kozma for making two mistakes in two straight games. Put Schumaker in, and put that rookie on the fukking bench.

you're done with the defending world champions after 1 tight loss in the opening game of the playoffs after they went into Atlanta and beat arguably the best pitcher of the season? makes sense.

Well obviously I'm overreacting.

But I AM done with Mike Matheny. He's made horrible pitching adjustments all season, and it's finally cost us.

And I'm also sick to my stomach because these nikkas couldn't even get a pop fly with 0 outs , and ruined an amazing start by Wainwright.

you're basing that off basically nothing though, the numbers seem to indicate you're wrong, he doesn't deserve the gold glove. even if he was perfect post shot, the pre shot games still work. and i highly doubt the injury swayed those numbers that drastically.
