Remember when Ryan Dempster was a hot commodity at the deadline?

Remember when the Yankees almost got him? :whew:

:russ: I'll never understand why people like buying high on those old guys that are having fluke seasons. No matter how low Dempster's ERA was at the beginning of the year, he was a #4 or #5 starter.

A's team got that destiny feel to them

exciting if nothing else, pen has been awesome but this would be a work of art to hold it down for 6+ innings against this team. need at least 3 more runs

lol this caffeine drug addict Hamilton stay fukking shyt up. I honestly think the A's are winning the WS. It feels like destiny and like a real life Moneyball squad. shyt crazy. A's match up well against the AL, but I do think the O's or the Tigers would give the A's more problems compared to the Yank's or the Rangers

Yup...no disrespect to any other teams/fans, but I'm praying for a Baltimore/Oakland ALCS to somehow happen.

ALDS: Tigers over Yanks, A's over O's.
ALCS: Tigers over A's

It's 2006 all over again (with a happier ending for Detroit fans). :win:

Of course, the Yanks have to lose to a lifeless Red Sox team today while Baltimore wins again. Probably a long shot.

Miggy is gonna be a problem in the playoffs for the Tigers. the dude is on fire. Plus with Verlander as there ace pitcher, they are gonna be real contenders for sure. lol I don't think the Tigers gotta worry much about the Card's, they practically stumbled into the WC spot, but I doubt the Card's beat the Braves. Yanks are probably gonna win for sure, and probably are gonna win thee division and gain AL home-field advantage. But, them A's ain't playing though. I did want to see the Angels make it for the Star power they got, but they couldn't figure it out this season, but I think they will be a problem for sure next season if they get any other pitcher not named Greinke
