The only good thing about list like this is it obviously leans east coast in its bias....so at least u can tell what they were thinking or weren't thinking about when they made it..... those "let's include everybody even tho we don't meant it" list are just as frustrating:mindblown:...putting greatness from another region at the bottom of the list just as a token, and have us arguing how u decided that:wtb:....at least with this list you know:manny:

BCC is one of my favorite crews, arguably my favorite, but you gotta throw Death Row and NWA in there somewhere. The fruit that grew off of the trees that Dre, Eazy, and Cube built is threadworthy in itself.
Right, without NWA there would be no damn G Unit, thats a damn fact.

I never heard this before

why you feel that way??

at one point boot camp was right behind wu. and deservedly so. they were essentially dipset to wu-tang's g-unit (in terms of relevance/standing on the east coast).

then they exiled beatminerz, dropped that first group album and totally fukked it up.

have there been standout BCC releases since then? of course. but imo, ppl always rank BCC based on what they could have been, vs. what they actually ended up doing.

no way in hell should they rank ahead of dipset (re-wrote the mixtape rules before 50), g-unit (mainstreamed the new mixtape rules, changed the way albums are put together), dungeon fam (outkast and goodie mob vs. BCC? :bryan:), cash money (two generations worth of billboard hits) OR no limit (put new orleans on the map).

all those crews had a much larger impact on the game, musically, sales-wise, etc. they've got some classics. but as a crew? they dont stack up.

shyt, i'd put murder inc. ahead of them, just off ja and ashanti.

not to mention the west coast crews they left off. this list is wack.

Came in this thread just to make sure the juice crew was #1

The Juice Crew is THE Hip-Hop crew!

Top 5 is perfect but I'd switch WU and Hit Squad's placement

Why the fukk is the firm so high????
