A LOT of shyt happened in the 60s that changed the direction of black America

1) The crack epidemic
2) Welfare laws removing fathers from the homes
3) The mass incarceration of blacks males (before the 60s the prison system was 50% whites)
4) The infusion of guns into the ghetto

You mix the crack epidemic, highly accessible guns, ensure an unstable economy for black men, and force fathers out of the home through the welfare system and you have a sure fire recipe for disaster.

So much targeted shyt happened after the Civil Rights Act of 1964, that it's clear that the shyt was covert and deliberate.

Not to mention how black men have come from being strong and masculine to admiring the ass of a transsexual man. :usure:

I was watching Good Times, it showed an episode where one of the drug dealers was like a 11 year old kid. This was like the mid 70s. Now just a couple years before that, we were all good. I dont think rap or cracc is to blame, because gangster rap came in the late 80s and cracc came in the 80s as well.
Maybe it was all those pimp movies.

Just goes to show you the difference between grassroots movements and corporate sponsored movements as it relates to their intentions and effects on the black community.

Its so demonic, friends.

You're right. Well I look at some homicide stats of cities before crack hit, before gangsta rap hit, and stuff was pretty bad.

in 1980, Los Angeles got 1,000 homicides. This is before crack and rap.

in 1974 Chicago had 970 homicides, again this is longg before crack and hip hop. shyt this is before nikkas in the ghetto got their hands on automatic weapons and shyt.

Heroin was a problem back in the 60s too before crack. I think the government was a part of both the heroin and crack epidemics. There is too much proof on this. These along with high unemployment among black men contributed to increased violence. People forget, CIA (1973) and ATF (1972) were in part to criminalize and jail black men. Its not a coincidence that those were created during the rise of the black panthers. We were united and strong. Those in government wanted to weaken us. Its not coindence.

They brought the drugs to the USA and the only employer hiring the black man in the inner city was the supplier. Thus making the black man the biggest drug peddlers on earth. This along with the criminalization of drugs by the govt, ATF, DEA, etc. made it the perfect trap to jail us at a high rate, further creating dysfunction in our community.

Another thing was the strategic placement of gun shops and liquor stores in these neighborhoods in the 70s. I can guarantee that if you do research, those guns shops were not there in the 60a. Remember, there was no gun control, a dude with rap sheet as long as a novel could buy guns without being checked. Stock as much ammo as he wants. So everybody had guns. It eventually created a culture that led to street gangs who mainly operate to protect drug territory and a false of pride.

If there is something innate about a man it is that at his core, he wants to be respected among his peers, make money to provide for himself or family, and have something to be proud and be willing to die for...even if its wrong.

The government perfectly played on these things. If they can create the atomic bomb and land on the moon, they can do this to us with ease. :manny:

Integration:Lead to black businesses collapsing as blacks were happy they could finally shop at white stores. Blacks felt that the white man's water was just that much colder so they patronized white businesses. Blacks also felt better working for the white man than other blacks.

White Flight: A lot of blacks felt comfortable working in factories for whites and not getting an education. In fact a lot of blacks that had educations had a hard time getting positions that required their degrees, so the incentive to get an education was lacking. Blacks also decided to live in the cities where they worked, which lead to whites fleeing the city to the suburbs, taking their businesses and infrastructure with them. That lead to areas being blighted. Redlining and block busting added to the table

War on Drugs: With the then absent infrastructure, the economics in the black community were lacking. Factory jobs became outsourced so uneducated blacks had even fewer options. A lot decided to sell drugs. Then came Reaganomics which had black men doing 20 year sentences for selling drugs... non violent crimes mind you.

Family Structure Decay
: All while this is happening, the idea of family structure and manhood are being destroyed. Since a lot of black men couldn't be men in the traditional sense, they decided to become the b*stardized version of men. Gangsters and drug dealers. Family? That's thrown away at this point. Hell it was steadily being thrown away prior to this point, but the war on drugs was somewhat of the event horizon. Education was no longer valued. Swag was another way for black men to overcompensate for their lack of economic power.

Street Culture Promotion: Then came the cherry on top. The white man saw how black men valuing drugs and swag kept black men complacent so whites decided to promote "black hyper-masculinity". Black men favored valuing how big their dikks were, how great they could dance, how well they could rap, how much game they had and how many bytches they could fukk. This was made worse when white people allowed hiphop to become mainstream. Young black boys thought that the only way to get out of the hood was by picking up a basketball, a microphone or a bag of drugs. NOT by picking up a book.

Basically you want to know what happened to the culture? Lack of economics. You want any community to change overnight, take away their economics. This is why I laugh at people who say that in order to get out of the hood you need to "get right with God" or "find knowledge of self" or "have swag." White people didn't take love, God, swag, or knowledge of self out of the black community, but they damn sure took away the money.

The damage has been done. White people don't have to discriminate against blacks ever again. The mentality has been passed down by generation to generation. Whites could fall off the face of the planet and as long as the mentality and culture are the same it will never get better.

Needless to say, it was very systematic.

You're one of the worst posters of all-time but this was a halfway decent post.

But as far as the OP goes, you're using two extremes as an example and it's ridiculous. shyt isn't THAT different.
