This list is missing the government bringing crack in the 70s

The CIA allowed coke (prob smuggled some as well) to enter the US in the 80's

crack is something the streets made up. It is just selling freebase though.

a lot of people live in this society because they have no other choice. they are essentially dependent on this system for their survival. their food, water, shelter, and medicine are all provided by the beast.

so the strategy is about providing people with an alternative to this current social structure so they are not dependent on the beast.
