I bought the digital battlefield 1 on my ps4 and that shyt took a day to fully install after downloading it. I think files are just huge right now and even modern hardware hasn't caught up.

I actually got Comcast but my shyt is fast enough that downloads, updates, etc. don't bother me. Where do you live breh? You might want to look into contacting Comcast and make sure nothing is wrong with your line.

Fred.
Well, here's the thing.
The updates I was getting from Rockstar Social Club and on Steam (For dishonored 2) were the ones that were hella slow.
I went out onto the net and downloaded the same damn updates from a hosting site MEGA.CO that user forums pointed me to and downloaded them parallel to the other two in less than half the time.

That tells me that the internet connection was fine, it was just doing it through Steam and RSSC that was slow.

I was playing GTA5 by midnight last night until about 2am.
Tired as fukk today...lol

I'm guessing that game manufacturers are using this as some kind of DRM replacement along with the "Always online" requirement in order to play their games. I'm thinking that I, personally, will stick to torrents. Even though you can't do the online gaming part...they download faster, work alright, no DRM mess and are free.
I could have used that 70 bucks I spent on GTA5 and Dishonored-2 on some clothes or cologne or gifts for others...lesson learned.

Lesson learned breh.

Buy the physical copy for cheap, then use the Game Key to download it off of Steam and install it from there.

I got The Division for PC on DVDfor $9. Redeemed the code on UPlay it installed in about an hour and it's been working since.

PC ain't as gold as the Master Race will tell you it is, but a lot of the hurdles we deal with are created by the publishing/developer companies.

There is absolutely no reason to buy PC games on discs. What were you thinking? :mindblown:

My current rig doesn't even have a disc drive. That shyt is obsolete on PC. The last time I bought a PC DVD had to be half life 2 or some shyt.

My case doesn't even allow for a disc drive; that's how obselete this shyt is.
