That time Game thought he had a ace in the hole against 50 when he brought Ja Rule on the end of One Blood remix

I remember being in the studio when Jimmy Iovine hit up fif and sent him One Blood to clear for Game.

We were listening to it and kinda laughing because 50 always said Game’s weakness was hooks. The One Blood sample was hella repetitive and sounded weird on the first few listens and the beat sounded cheap.

We didn’t think it would do as well as it did :dead:

So what was your thought on the remix? With Nas, TI, Snoop Dogg, Pasha T, Kiss, and the rest of them?

If anything, this song proved that The Game's initial success relied heavily on (mostly 50's) hooks.

50 laughed at the song for not having a solid hook, can't find the interview though...
