shyt...crazy this popped up. i was sourcing down a lot of "classic" preme tracks a month or two ago just for the hell of it and was like :ohhh: when I heard this one

the sample thats used in AZ's the come up is another one thats kinda crazy. a lot of premes chops are pretty straight forward but theres something a little tricky about that one, i remember trying to replicate it and getting frustrated and giving up :yeshrug::russ:
The come up is a top 5 premo beat to me def one of my faves.:ohlawd::whew::banderas::wow:

I would love to hear Preme's story about how he find this song and what made him wanna sample it and flipped it Nas is like beat. :wow:

I remember an oollldddd interview he did yesrs ago where he basically said he purchased the recird and a bunch of others all together and was gonna throw the record with the sample away and just so happened to listen to it on a whim and thats when he caught the idea for the loop

I read/saw an interview ages ago where he said he actually did it on the turntable, recorded it in like that. So he had it queued up and he actually holds the record for that slight second so the next part of the sample can catch the beat the way he wanted.

Another producer called him up about some old guy selling his whole collection/shop. So they met up and said you take that side I’ll tale this side it was a few hundred/thousand records each and this was one he just happened to check out because it had an interesting sticker on the record.
