Darkseid's motivation for the things that he does has more gravitas than Thanos; the former wishing to subjugate the wills of all sentient beings, and the latter wishing to win the affections of a woman. Sure, that woman is the anthropomorphic personification of Death, but Thanos can still be summed up as a cosmic level simp.
That said, this is about who actually wins a fight; and when you get right down to it, Thanos is the more impressive of the two. Thanos typically laughs off the attacks of characters like Thor, Surfer, and the Hulk. Darkseid, on the other hand, has been outright beaten by Superman and Orion (this on shouldn't count as much due to it being fated to happen).

at the thought of seeing Thanos in Avengers 3. I didn't really come up reading comics much as a kid. My knowledge of this shyt mostly comes from the old cartoons and collecting all the cards when I was younger. Thanos was always one of those guys I always imagined being a huge boss but never really got the chance to see him in action. Can't wait to see him on the big screen sonnin the shyt out of people.
